Estimator/Project Manager Job Posting Date Posted: March 1, 2010 Job Description: To assist in the management, bidding and controlling of projects throughout San Diego County, Imperial County and South Riverside County in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures. Individual will deliver timely and accurate estimates for projects, perform quantity take-offs including concrete structures, storm drain, sewer and water systems, cross sections and area calculations, interpret project plans and specifications, attend pre-bid meetings, develop falsework plans for bridges, develop construction schedules, maintain project files, communicate with owners, subcontractors, supervisors and field personnel, track project costs and productions, track quantities, build monthly pay estimates to maintain cash flow and work well in a team environment. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required along with excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills. A Professional Engineer (PE) License is a bonus particularly with experience in certifying falsework and shoring plans. Experience in Microsoft Office and Primavera/Suretrak is required as well as the ability to learn Hard Dollar estimating software. Individual must have exceptional ability to follow through, be a self-starter, be an innovative team player and be detail oriented. Must have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
